Overview
vanilla.txt is a minimalist plain-text editor for iPhone. We do not collect, store, use, or share personal data from your use of the app. There are no analytics, no ads, and no third-party tracking SDKs.
Information We Do Not Collect
- No account information
- No contact information
- No location data
- No identifiers for advertising or analytics
- No usage analytics or behavioral tracking
Files and On-Device Data
vanilla.txt opens and edits .txt files that you select through Apple’s Files app (including iCloud Drive if you use it). Your documents remain under your control and are stored where you choose (on-device storage or iCloud). We do not upload, transmit, or otherwise send your document contents to AQPARD servers, because we do not operate any servers for this app.
Permissions
vanilla.txt does not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, Bluetooth, or location. File access occurs only through the system Files picker for the items you choose.
iCloud and Platform Services
If you store documents in iCloud Drive, those files are managed by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud content.
If you have opted in at the OS level to “Share with App Developers,” Apple may provide us with de-identified crash logs to improve stability. We do not use such logs to identify you.
Third-Party Services and Cookies
The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or social SDKs, and it does not use cookies.
Children’s Privacy
Our app is not directed to children under 13, and we knowingly collect no personal data from any user.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Effective date” above.
